FIC sets sights on Low Winter Sun

It has been just over a month since US cable channel AMC gave the greenlight to a full season of crime drama Low Winter Sun.

Now it is set to travel around the world after rights holder Endemol Worldwide Distribution secured a deal with Fox International Channels (FIC) to send the series into 120 territories, including Fox in the UK.

AMC has ordered 10 episodes of the show, which is based on a two-part UK drama originally produced by Endemol-owned Tiger Aspect. This new version will be coproduced by AMC Studio and Endemol Studios, helmed by showrunner Chris Mundy.

Low Winter Sun is described as a story of murder, deception, revenge and corruption in a world where the line between cops and criminals is blurred.It is due to air in the US this year.
