Showtime starts Affair

US premium cable network Showtime is adding another new scripted project to its slate.

The Affair, which comes from Sarah Treem and Hagai Levi, is “an intimate exploration of two marriages and an affair that disrupts them – with all the complexities and consequences that result,” the network said.

Interestingly, the one-hour pilot will tell the story from both the male and female perspectives.

Treem (House of Cards) and Levi (In Treatment) will executive produce alongside director Mark Mylod (Once Upon A Time).

In December, Showtime ordered another pilot called The Vatican.
