A Spanish crime drama that first aired on Canal+ is heading to Germany.
Crematorio, based on the novel of the same name by Rafael Chirbes, has been acquired by pay-TV platform Sky Deutschland to air on its Sky Atlantic channel.
Produced by Mod Producciones for Canal+, the story follows the exploits of a Spanish family whose construction business was built on a foundation of dirty deals, corruption and violence.
Crematorio has also been sold elsewhere around the world, including to HBO Latin America.
The deal was completed by by German distributor ZDF Enterprises, the sales arm of broadcaster ZDF.
