Channel 4’s youth-skewing spin-off E4 has ordered a second season of its original drama My Mad Fat Diary.
The series, which finishes its first season tonight, is based on the real life diaries of Rae Earl and follows a 16-year-old girl during the mid-1990s.
With an average weekly consolidated audience of 1.2 million viewers, E4 has commissioned a new 6×60′ season. Filming is due to begin this summer.
Tom Bidwell will return as lead writer of the Tiger Aspect production.
