With Elementary and Chicago Fire already on its schedule, UK pay-TV channel Sky Living has picked up several new US dramas this year.
It has now added another new series, Hannibal (13×60′), following a deal with producer/distributor Gaumont International Television.
BSkyB-owned Sky Living will premiere the series, loosely based on Thomas Harris’ novel Red Dragon and featuring iconic character Dr Hannibal Lecter, following its US debut on NBC on April 4.
The story, penned by showrunner Bryan Fuller (Heroes), focuses on the relationship between Lecter and FBI criminal profiler Will Graham.
Gaumont International Television has previously signed a deal for Hannibal with Sony Pictures Television Networks-owned AXN, which will air the series around the world.
Sky Living will also air Dracula, a production from Playground Entertainment for Sky and NBC, with filming due to begin this summer.
