Arte sets The Hour

French/German arts network is lining up a schedule of new international dramas with premieres of series including Sweden’s Real Humans and the Israeli drama that inspired Homeland.

This month sees the season one debut of British period drama The Hour, produced by Kudos Film and Television and distributed by Shine International, which focuses on the BBC news team during the 1950s.

Science fiction drama Real Humans (aka Äkta människor), produced by Sweden’s Matador Films and also sold by Shine International, will launch in April. The show is set in a world where robots have become so human-like it is unable to tell them apart from people.
