It was the channel’s most watched Danish drama for five years.
So perhaps it’s no surprise that TV2 in Denmark has ordered a second season of its homegrown crime drama Dicte.
The first season, which finished on Monday, March 11, drew an average of 1.2 million viewers, the best return for a TV2 drama series in five years.
Dicte, which also airs on SVT in Sweden, is based on Elsebeth Egholm’s novels about a journalist who teams up with the police to help solve crimes.
Season two (10×45′) will again be written by Dorte W Høgh and Ida Maria Rydén and produced by Miso Film. It is due to air in 2014.
Meanwhile, season one of Dicte is due to air in Norway at the end of April. It is sold internationally by ZDF Enterprises.
The next drama series coming to TV2 is the second season of Rita, produced by SF Film Production about an outspoken and politically incorrect teacher.
