Colombian broadcaster Caracol TV has seen a number of its shows debut around the world this month.
Cinco viudas sueltas, produced by Caracol TV and Sony Pictures Television, has premiered on Venezuelan network Televen in a 20.00 slot on weeknights. The 120-part telenovela tells the story of five ‘widows’ who each visit their husbands in prison every Sunday.
French international channel France Ô has begun showing Pablo Escobar el patrón del mal, produced by Caracol TV and distributed by Caracol TV International. The 74-part biographical drama tells the story of Pablo Escobar, one of the most feared drug lords in Colombia.
In Panama, TVN is airing Made in Cartagena (63×60′), an action drama produced by CMO Producciones and distributed by Caracol TV International, in a 22.30 weeknight slot. It tells the story of a bank robber who plots revenge for the death of his son.
Caracol telenovela El Secretario has also begun its brodcast on US Hispanic network Univision. Produced by Televisa, it airs in a 20.00 weeknight slot and tells the story of a man who takes on the traditionally female role of a secretary.
