German comedy drama Danni Lowinski is set to get a French makeover.
Zodiak Media-owned Marathon has bought the format rights to the series and will develop the series for French television.
Danni Lowinksi, now in its fourth season on Sat.1 in Germany, follows former hairdresser who becomes a lawyer and offers legal advice to the less fortunate.
It was created by Marc Terjung and is produced by Markus Brunnemann and Phoenix Film.
The format rights were sold by distributor Red Arrow International.
Danni Lowinski has previously been remade for Belgian broadcaster VTM, which has ordered a second season from Red Arrow Entertainment-owned Sultan Sushi. Other local versions are in production in the Netherlands, Ukraine and Russia.
Marathon is also developing currently developing international coproductions including Versailles, a big budget historical drama coproduced with Capa Drama for pay TV channel Canal+.
