Syfy renews Continuum

US cable network Syfy has ordered a second season of its time travel cop drama Continuum.

A new run of 13 episodes has been commissioned by the channel to air from June.

The story follows a police officer from the future who is transported to the present day with a group of terrorists who escaped their execution in the year 2077.

Series creator Simon Barry executive produces with Pat Williams and Tim Rowe. Continuum is produced by Reunion Pictures in association with Canada’s Shaw Media.

The show also airs on Shaw Media-owned Showcase and Syfy in the UK.
