Spy drama Restless is travelling to Scandinavia.
Distributor Red Arrow International has secured sales of the two-part drama, based on William Boyd’s novel of the same name, to Sweden’s SVT, Finland’s YLE and Denmark’s DR.
Set against the background of the British Secret Service operations in the USA during World War Two, Restless tells the story of a Russian recruited as a spy to infiltrate the corridors of power and swinging public opinion toward the US joining the allied war effort.
Boyd adapted his own novel for the television series, which is produced by Endor Productions’ Hilary Bevan Jones.
The author is also an executive producer with Matthew Read and Christian Vesper.
Restless was originally commissioned by the BBC in the UK and US cable network Sundance Channel.
Red Arrow International’s drama slate also includes Norwegian series Lilyhammer and Jean Reno-starring crime drama Jo.
