As the third season of papal period drama The Borgias nears its debut in the UK, broadcaster BSkyB is making the entire first and second seasons available on demand.
The drama – created, executive producedand written by Neil Jordan – returns for its third season on Sky Atlantic on June 17, three days after its US premiere on cable network Showtime.
The Borgias returns to find Pope Alexander, played by Jeremy Irons, recovering after an assassination attempt while deciding to rid the Vatican of anyone who might be disloyal to him.
But for viewers who want to play catch-up with the series, Sky is making the whole first season available on demand from May 1, with the second season following on June 9.
Sky rolled out a similar plan for epic fantasy drama Game of Thrones ahead of that show’s third season this month.
