US premium cable network Showtime will air new dramas Ray Donovan and Masters of Sex this summer alongside the final season of serial killer series Dexter.
Ray Donovan (12×60′), which debuts on June 30, stars Liev Schreiber as the titular character who is Los Angeles’ best professional fixer. Produced by Showtime, creator Ann Biderman executive produces with Mark Gordon and Bryan Zuriff.
Masters of Sex (12×60′), debuting on September 29, is based on the real life story of William Masters and Virginia Johnson (played by Michael Sheen and Lizzy Caplan), whose research started a sexual revolution. It is an adaptation of Thomas Maier’s book Masters of Sex: The Life and Times of William Masters and Virginia Johnson, The Couple Who Taught America How To Love.
Sony Pictures Television produces the series, which is executive produced by creator Michelle Ashford, Sarah Timberman, Carl Beverly and Judith Verno. Michael Sheen, Tammy Rosen and Thomas Maier produce.
Returning for a third season is terrorist drama Homeland (12×60′), which premieres on September 29. It is produced by Fox 21 and Keshet Broadcasting and executive produced by Alex Gansa, Gideon Raff, Howard Gordon, Avi Nir and Ron Telem.
Meanwhile, Dexter will begin its eighth and final season (12×60′) on June 30. It is produced by Showtime and executive produced by John Goldwyn, Sara Colleton, Scott Buck, Manny Coto, Tim Schlattmann, Wendy West, Jace Richdale and Michael C Hall.
