TNT books return to Dallas

The reboot of classic drama Dallas has been given third season order by US cable channel TNT.

Dallas relaunched on the network in 2012 and has averaged 3.8 million viewers in its second season.

TNT has now ordered a 15-episode third season, which is slated to air in early 2014.

The Warner Horizon Television-produced series centres on the Ewing clan, a wealthy Texan family embroiled in sibling rivalries, romantic betrayals, corruption and murder.

Created by David Jacobs and developed by Cynthia Cidre, Dallas is executive produced by Cidre, Michael M Robin and Robert Rovner.

Warner Horizon Television also produces Rizzoli & Isles for TNT; Sullivan & Son for TBS; Pretty Little Liars, The Lying Game and the forthcoming Ravenswood for ABC Family; and Longmire for A&E.
