UKTV builds home to Drama

A new channel dedicated to classic British drama will launch in the UK this summer.



Drama, owned by channel group UKTV, will showcase a range of series from miniseries Pride and Prejudice, Catherine Cookson’s The Cinder Path and Sharpe to Tipping the Velvet, Auf Wiedersehen Pet, Cranford and Lark Rise to Candleford.

The channel will become available to viewers on Freeview, and becomes the fourth UKTV channel to launch on the free-to-air platform following Dave, Yesterday and Really.

Drama will premiere on July 8.

UKTV is joint venture between BBC Worldwide and Scripps Networks Interactive.
