The series, bought in a deal with BBC Worldwide, is produced by Big Talk Productions and Points West, and stars Jon Hamm and Daniel Radcliffe.

Based on Russian playwright Mikhail Bulgakov’s book, it is a darkly humourous account of the experiences of a recently graduated doctor who works at a small hospital in a remote village during the Russian revolution, as told through the memories of his older self.

It was adapted by Mark Chappell, Shaun Pye and Alan Connor, and produced by Clelia Mountford.

A Young Doctor’s Notebook originally aired in the UK on Sky Arts in 2012 and will premiere on Ovation in fall 2013.
