US cable network TNT has pulled the plug on its Los Angeles-set cop drama Southland after five seasons.
The show originally launched on broadcast network NBC in 2009 before it was picked up by TNT for four further seasons.
News of the show’s cancellation was confirmed on its Twitter feed on May 10:

The series was created by Ann Biderman and is executive produced by Jonathan Lisco, Christopher Chulack and John Wells. Andrew Stearn is a co-executive producer.
