BBC slims down for Cold War film

Slim Film and Television is going to war for the BBC.

The production company has been commissioned by BBC Two to make Legacy (1×90′), an “intense and emotional drama” set during the Cold War in 1970s London.

The story follows a young spy who discovers the disturbing truth about his father’s complex past.

It is written by Paula Milne and based on Alan Judd’s novel. Both writers are executive producers with Slim’s Simon Crawford Collins and the BBC’s Lucy Richer.

Legacy will be produced by Rob Bullock.

BBC Worldwide will distribute the film internationally.

Crawford Collins is the former join MD of Kudos Film and Television, where his credits included Spooks and Ashes to Ashes.
