US broadcast network ABC has ordered seven new dramas for 2013/14 including a remake of British drama The Syndicate.
Lucky 7, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Once Upon A Time In Wonderland and Betrayal will air this fall, while Killer Women, Mind Games and Resurrection will be held back for midseason.
The network’s returning dramas include season six of Castle, season ten of Grey’s Anatomy, season two of Nashville, season three of Once Upon A Time, season three of Revenge and season three of Scandal.
Lucky 7, based on The Syndicate, is about a group of seven petrol station workers from Queens who win the lottery. Executive produced by writers David Zabel (ER) and Jason Richman, and Steven Spielberg, Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey, it is produced by ABC Studios and Amblin Television.
Betrayal is about a female photographer and male attorney who begin an affair. When his boss’s brother-in-law is murdered, he must defend his boss’s son against her prosecutor husband. From ABC Studios, it is written by David Zabel (ER), who executive produces with Rob Golenberg and Alon Aranya.
Killer Women, about the only female Texas Ranger, is written by Hannah Shakespeare and executive produced by Sofia Vergara, Martin Campbell, Ben Silverman, Luis Balaguer. It is produced by ABC Studios, Electus and Latin World Entertainment.
Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is about a group of agents from the law enforcement agency S.H.I.E.L.D. who investigate the strange and unknown around the world. From ABC Studios and Marvel Television, writers Joss Whedon, Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen executive produce with Jeffrey Bell and Jeph Loeb.
Mind Games is about two brothers and partners who are committed to solving clients’ problems using psychological manipulation. From 20th Century Fox Television, it is executive produced by writer Kyle Killen and Keith Redman.
Once Upon A Time In Wonderland, a spin-off of ABC fantasy drama Once Upon A Time, about a girl called Alice who tells the story of a strange land that exists on the other side of a rabbit hole. From ABC Studios, it is executive produced by writers Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz, and Steve Perlman and Zack Estrin.
Resurrection is about the town of Arcadia, Missouri, where peoples’ lives are changed forever when their deceased loved ones come start to return. From ABC Studios, Brillstein Entertainment and Plan B, writer Aaron Zelman executive produces with JoAnn Alfano, Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner and Jon Liebman.
