US public broadcaster PBS is making a name for itself with a range of UK dramas.
And following the success of period dramas Downton Abbey and Call the Midwife, it has now picked up modern love story Last Tango in Halifax.
The six-part drama is about two childhood sweethearts who, both widowed and in their 70s, are reunited over the internet after 60 years apart.
It is written by Sally Wainwright and produced by Red Productions. The producer is Karen Lewis and Nicola Shindler, with Wainwright and Matthew Read executive producing.
The series, which has already been commissioned for a second season by BBC One, will debut on PBS on September 8.
PBS has also confirmed the third season of Call the Midwife, produced by Neal Street Productions, will air on the network in 2014. It is produced by Hugh Warren and executive produced by Pippa Harris and Heidi Thomas.
Both Last Tango in Halifax and Call the Midwife are sold internationally by BBC Worldwide.
