Syfy is closing Warehouse 13 after the US cable channel announced the fifth season of the science fiction drama will be its last.
The series will wrap with a final six-part run, which will begin filming in Toronto this summer and air in 2014.
Produced by Universal Cable Productions, it follows a team of government agents who work at a top-secret storage facility in windswept South Dakota, which houses every strange artifact, mysterious relic, fantastical object and preternatural souvenir ever collected by the US government.
The showrunner and executive producer is Jack Kenny.
Universal Cable Productions’ slate also includes Covert Affairs, Psych, Royal Pains and Suits for USA Network; Defiance for Syfy; and Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome, which airs on YouTube channel Machinima Prime and Syfy.
