And now Brazilian telenovela Sparking Girls (aka Cheias de Charme, 120×45′) is heading to Panama and Mozambique following deals by Globo TV International. It is written by Filipe Miguez and Izabel de Oliveira.
The distributor’s new deals for Sparking Girls, which is currently on air on SIC in Portugal, mean it will air on NEXtv in Panama and STV in Mozambique.
Another Globo TV telenovela, Gabriela (55×45′), has been sold to ATV in Peru, Cerro Corá in Paraguay, Canal 2 in Nicaragua and TeleAntillas in the Dominican Republic
The series, based on the book Gabriela, Clove and Cinnamon by Jorge Amado, tells the story of a young immigrant who captivates everyone with her sensuality and spontaneity. It is written by Walcyr Carraso
The original version of Gabriela first aired in the 1970s and the format has now been licensed by Warner Bros International Television Production.
Globo TV International has sales rights in Latin America, Africa and Europe, while Warner Bros International Television Distribution is handling sales in Asia, North America, Australia and the UK.
