Guy Pearce is reprising his role as Jack Irish in a new TV movie based on the novels by Peter Temple.
Filming has begun on Jack Irish – Dead Point (1×90′), the third film about the former criminal lawyer and part-time investigator produced by Essential Media and Entertainment for Australian public broadcaster ABC’s flagship ABC1 network.
This new feature sees Irish hired to locate a mysterious red book – a search that takes him to a remote coastal house with an ominous name – Dead Point.
Shooting started on May 20 for four weeks and is produced by Ian Collie, Jeffrey Walker and Andrew Anastasios. The executive producer is Andrew Knight and it is written by Matt Cameron.
The previous Jack Irish adaptations – Bad Debts and Black Tide – both aired on ABC1 in 2012.
Germany’s ZDF Enterprises holds distribution rights to the series outside Australia.
