Papal historical drama The Borgias will come to an end after its third season finale this month, US premium cable network Showtime has said.
The show, created by Neil Jordan, follows Pope Alexander VI (Jeremy Irons) as the patriarch of the Borgia dynasty who builds an empire by bribing, buying and muscling his way into the papacy.
Jordan executive produces the series alongside Jack Rapke, Darryl Frank, John Weber, Sheila Hockin and James Flynn.
The final episode of The Borgias will air in the US on Showtime on June 16.
The news comes as similarly titled Borgia also comes to an end after its third season.
