Australia’s ABC has assembled the cast that will star in its forthcoming drama ANZAC Girls.
Georgia Flood (Wentworth), Antonia Prebble (Outrageous Fortune), Laura Brent (A Few Best Men), Anna McGahan (Underbelly: Razor) and Caroline Craig (Underbelly) will play five military nurses from Australia and New Zealand who experience horror, heartbreak and triumph at Gallipoli and the Western Front during World War One.
Based on The Other Anzacs by Peter Rees, ANZAC Girls is a six-part miniseries written Felicity Packard and Niki Aken.
It is produced by Banijay-owned Screentime, with producer Lisa Scott and Packard.
Screentime’s Des Monaghan and Greg Haddrick are executive producers with ABC’s Carole Sklan and David Ogilvy.
