Filming has begun on a new TV movie for US cable network Hallmark Channel that will serve as a backdoor pilot to a possible primetime series.
Dead Letters (1×120′), produced by Special Delivery Teleproductions, tells the story of a group of postal detectives whose mission is to deliver letters and packages from the past – that arrive when they are needed most.
Starring Eric Mabius (Ugly Betty) and Kristin Booth (The Kennedys), shooting is taking place in Vancouver ahead of its premiere on Hallmark Channel on October 12.
It is executive produced by writer Martha Williamson (Touched by an Angel), Joel S Rice (Banner 4th of July), Michael Prupas (The Kennedys) and Jesse Prupas (Cyberbully). Harvey Kahn (Endgame) is the producer.
If greenlit to series, Dead Letters would air on Hallmark Channel in 2014.
Muse Distribution International is handling worldwide distribution.
