BBC Four has picked up Amber, an Irish drama produced by Screenworks.
The four-part series is described as an emotional journey filled with psychological insight and unexpected twists following the disappearance of a 14-year-old girl, which is recounted from different perspectives.
The cast includes Eva Birthistle, David Murray, Lauryn Canny, Levi O’Sullivan and Justine Mitchell.
It is written by Rob Cawley and Gary Duggan and executive produced by Jane Gogan and David Crean.
The creators and producers are Cawley and Paul Duane, founders of Screenworks. Amber is the company’s first television drama.
BBC Four acquired the series, which airs on RTE in Ireland, from distributor Content Television.
