Canadian drama Strange Empire has been picked up a for distribution by DRG.
The 13×60′ series, commissioned by CBC, tells the story of three different women brought together by a series of brutal murders, fighting for survival in the wild frontier that is the boundary between the US and Canada in the 1860s.
It is written by Laurie Finstad, who executive produces with Tim Johnson and Jeff Sagansky. It is produced by Janestown Productions in association with Johnson Production Group.
Filming is currently taking place in Vancouver.
DRG has previously picked up rights to dramas Babylon and Eyewitness.
