Showtime in the US has ordered third seasons of its original dramas Ray Donovan and Masters of Sex.
Both shows, which are midway through their second seasons, have received orders for new 12-episode runs.
Ray Donovan stars Liev Schreiber as Los Angeles’ best professional fixer, the man called to make the city’s celebrities, athletes and business moguls’ complicated and combustible situations go away.
The cast also includes Paula Malcomson, Eddie Marsan, Dash Mihok, Steven Bauer, Katherine Moennig, Pooch Hall, Kerris Dorsey, and Devon Bagby.
Creator Ann Biderman executive produces with Mark Gordon, Bryan Zuriff and David Hollander for Showtime.
Masters of Sex stars Michael Sheen and Lizzy Caplan as real-life pioneers of human sexuality William Masters and Virginia Johnson, and chronicles their unusual lives as their research began a sexual revolution.
An adaptation of Thomas Maier’s book Masters of Sex: The Life and Times of William Masters and Virginia Johnson, The Couple Who Taught America How To Love, season two also stars Caitlin FitzGerald, Teddy Sears and Annaleigh Ashford.
It was developed by Michelle Ashford, who executive produces with Carl Beverly, Sarah Timberman, Judith Verno and Amy Lippman. Michael Apted, Michael Sheen, Tammy Rosen and Maier produce for Sony Pictures Television.
Production for both shows is due to begin in early 2015.
