The Fast Show’s Charlie Higson is behind a new retelling of Jekyll & Hyde for ITV.
The ten-part action drama is set in 1930s London and focuses on Robert Jekyll, the grandson of the original doctor who is on a quest to discover his real identity, his true family history and the nature of his curse.
It is inspired by The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, by Robert Louis Stevenson.
Higson will write and executive produce the series with Francis Hopkinson, ITV Studios director of drama. Foz Allan is the series producer.
Production will take place in India, beginning in January 2015. Filming will then move to London in February until July.
