Syfy lands on Krypton

Where there was Batman, there is now Fox’s Gotham.

Now Syfy is taking the Superman legend to new depths by developing a prequel series called Krypton.

The cable channel has partnered with Warner Horizon Television to plot a new one-hour drama that will be set years before the Superman legend.

The series, based within the DC Comics universe, will follow The Man of Steel’s grandfather as he brings hope and equality to Krypton, turning a planet in disarray into one worthy of being the home of Superman.

Krypton is executive produced by David S Goyer and Ian Goldberg. Goldberg is writing the pilot teleplay, based on a story conceived by Goyer and Goldberg.
