Cinemax in the US will air new seasons of Banshee, Strike Back and The Knick after confirming its line-up of original series in 2015.
Banshee’s ten-part third season, which began on January 9, sees Antony Starr reprise his role as Lucas Hood, an ex-con and master thief who assumes the identity of the sheriff of Banshee, PA, where he continues his criminal pursuits while enforcing his own code of justice. The cast also includes Ivana Milicevic, Ulrich Thomsen, Frankie Faison, and Hoon Lee.
The executive producer is Jonathan Tropper, Peter Macdissi, Alan Ball, and Greg Yaitanes.
This summer will see the launch of the fourth and final season of Strike Back, which is coproduced with Sky One in the UK. The series follows an elite undercover unit as they face a massive terrorist plot with global implications.
It is produced by Left Bank Pictures, with executive producers Andy Harries and Cameron Roach. The series producers are Michael Casey and Sharon Hughff, and the co-executive producer is Michael J Bassett.
Meanwhile, period hospital drama TheKnick returns for its ten-part second episode. It stars Clive Owen as a brilliant but emotionally tortured surgeon at the Knickerbocker Hospital in 1900 New York City.Creators and writers JackAmiel and MichaelBegler executive produce with Gregory Jacobs, StevenSoderbergh, Michael Sugar, and Owen. Steven Katz co-executive produces, and MichaelPolaire produces.
