Turkish drama adds up for Eccho

Turkish drama is continuing to prove profitable for distributor Eccho Rights, which has made new sales into Europe and Asia.

ARY Digital Network in Pakistan, VTV in Vietnam, and Tring TV in Albania have all snapped up Cherry Season, produced by Surec Films for Fox, which tells the story of a young, aspiring fashion designer with serious love problems.

Period drama Kurt Seyit and Sura, produced by Ay Yapim, has been bought by Mirror Entertainment for Italian viewers.  The show will be dubbed into Italian and launched later this year on a channel to be announced.

The series has also been licensed to Sitel in Macedonia through Media Acquisition, and Khoa TV in Kosovo.

Elif, a daily series about a young girl who struggles with troubled family relationships, has also been picked up by OBN in Bosnia, and Kanal 5 in Macedonia. It is produced by Green Yapim for TV7.

Eccho Rights has now sold more than 1,500 hours of drama in 2015.
