Battle Creek, the new drama from Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan, has been sold into more than 100 countries around the world.
Buyers include TF1 in France, RTL in Germany, RTE in Ireland, 365 Media in Iceland, NOS in Portugal, ORF in Austria, ICTV in Ukraine, Canal+ in Spain, D-Smart in Turkey and Turkish-speaking Cyprus, and Rostelecom and SPT Networks in Russia.
It will air on MTG’s free channels and subscription VoD platform Viaplay in Denmark, Norway, and Sweden, and on Shaw Media in Canada, and Globo TV in Brazil.
HOT in Israel, M-Net in sub-Saharan Africa, Seven Network in Australia, and TVNZ’s TV One in New Zealand, Chinese online platform iQiyi, and Fox International Channels in southeast Asia have also acquired rights to the show.
Battle Creek, created by Gilligan and David Shore, tells the story of a small town detective whose authority is challenged by the arrival of a big-city FBI agent.
It stars Dean Winters and Josh Duhamel.
The show is produced by Shore Z Productions, High Bridge Productions, Gran Via Productions, and Bad Hat Harry Productions in association with Sony Pictures Television, and CBS Television Studios.
Shore, Gilligan, Bryan Singer, and Mark Johnson executive produce.
Sony Pictures Television distributes the 13×60′ series, which airs on CBS in the US.
