A trio of HBO Europe dramas will be sold around the world by distributor DRG.
The network’s recently announced remakes of Mammon in Poland and the Czech Republic, plus Umbre, the Romanian adaptation of Small Time Gangster, will be added to DRG’s slate.
Both programmes are scripted formats licensed to HBO Europe by DRG.
And DRG has secured a deal for all HBO Europe networks to air those finished programmes in their region.
DRG has also optioned rights of additional scripted formats to HBO Europe – Easy Living in Hungary, and Eyewitness in Romania.
Mammon, produced by Norway’s NRK, follows the story of a journalist who is drawn into a world of lies after he uncovers financial fraud involving some of Norway’s most influential figures.
Small Time Gangster, a comedy-drama originally produced by Boilermaker-Burberry Entertainment for Australia’s SBS, is the story of one man’s secret double life.
Noir thriller Eyewitness, also from NRK, follows two teenage boys who play witness to a gangland murder, whilst Easy Living, from Moskito Television for Finland’s MTV3, is a crime-drama about the extraordinary secret life of a father and ruthless business entrepreneur.
