German distributor ZDF Enterprises has signed first-look deals with two UK production companies.
The first, Projector Pictures, is behind series including Kidnap and Ransom, and The Body Farm. It is currently working with US premium cable network Showtime on a remake of Kidnap and Ransom.
The company was founded by Trevor Eve, Charles Haswell and Sharon Maughan.
ZDFE has also partnered with Bonafide Films to develop a new slate of projects for the UK and international markets.
The distributor will have exclusive first-look rights to Bonafide’s development slate, handle finance, and take on worldwide distribution for any projects.
Bonafide is currently working on a number of scripted drama projects with writers including Peter Moffat, Peter Straughan, and Sabrina Mahfouz.
Its credits include Talking to the Dead, and Nosferatu in Love.
