The small screen follow-up to the classic horror film The Omen is changing channels – and has been given an increased episode order.
A&E will air the original drama Damien, which will now run for ten episodes, up from six. It was previously ordered for Lifetime.
The story follows the adult life of Damien Thorn, the mysterious child from the 1976 motion picture who has grown up seemingly unaware of the satanic forces around him. Haunted by his past, Damien must now come to terms with his true destiny – that he is the Antichrist.
The cast includes Bradley James as Damien, with Barbara Hershey, Omid Abtahi, and Meganlyn Echikunwoke.
Produced by Fox 21 Television Studios, 44 Strong Productions and Fineman Entertainment, the executive producers are writer Glen Mazzara, Ross Fineman, Pancho Mansfield, and director Shekhar Kapur.
Damien is currently in production in Toronto.
