BBC Four has picked up the latest acquisition to its foreign language drama slate.
Danish drama Bedraget (aka Follow the Money) is described as a thriller set in the world of economic crime, and comes from broadcaster DR – home to Forbrydelsen, Borgen, and 1864.
When a dead body is found in the sea near a wind farm off the coast of Denmark, Mads, the police detective assigned to the investigation, refuses to believe that it is just an accident. The deeper he digs, the more suspicious he becomes of quickly expanding energy company Energen and is drawn into a morass of financial and legal shady dealings.
The series stars Thomas Bo Larson, Natalie Madueño Wolfsberg, Esben Smed, and Nikolaj Lie Kaas.
The series was created by Jeppe Gjervig Gram. Other writers include Anders August and Jannik Tai Mosholt.
The executive producer is Anders Toft Anderson. It is made by DR and distributed by DR Sales.
