ABC down under and Denmark’s DR have both acquired the police procedural, following deals with distributor FremantleMedia International.

Described as “crime on steroids” by the FMI’s CEO Jens Richter, No Offence sees a crack team of no nonsense coppers clamp down on crime in an attempt to keep the streets clean.

Created by Paul Abbott, it is produced by AbbottVision. The cast includes Joanna Scanlon, Elaine Cassidy, Alexandra Roach, Will Mellor, Paul Ritter, and Colin Salmon.

It debuts on Channel 4 on May 5.

Sky returns to Fortitude

Sky will return to the Arctic after commissioning a second season of its original drama Fortitude.

Simon Donald will write a new ten-part story set in the titular Arctic town, which in season one starts to unravel when a mysterious death threatens the community.

Fortitude launched in January on Sky Atlantic and was the first Sky original series to air simultaneously in all Sky markets in Italy, Germany, Austria, the UK, and Ireland.

It also aired in the US on Pivot, which will also coproduce the second season.

The series is produced by Fifty Fathoms and Tiger Aspect Productions, with executive producers Donald, Patrick Spence, Frith Tiplady, Anne Mensah, and Lizzie Gray.

It has also been sold by Sky Vision to more than 100 broadcasters worldwide, including ABC in Australia, Super Channel in Canada, OTE in Greece, and France’s Canal+.
